The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one year lifestyle intervention program consisting of 16 weekly one-hour sessions, 4 bi-monthly sessions and 5 monthly sessions which provide group support and information on reducing and eliminating risks for type 2 diabetes. Learn how to make better food choices and incorporate physical activity into your daily schedule. The program goals are to reduce weight by 7% and increase physical activity to 150 minutes/week.
