Since 1975. The Louisiana Crawfish Festival is located in Beautiful and Historical St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana which is rich with heritage. The event is open to the public and offers great food such as Boiled Crawfish with all the “fixins” and Crawfish Dishes such as Crawfish Bread, Crawfish Pasta, Crawfish Pies, Crawfish Rice, and Crawfish Jambalaya adorn the limelight while many other food booths tickle just about everyone’s pallet. Cajun entertainment and current hit parade bands explode on stage to draw crowds to the sounds and glitter of showmanship. Arts and crafts lure hundreds to see real hand crafted products. There’s always a giant midway with carnival games, cotton candy, candied apples and rides to thrill the toddler through the roughneck and even the Ferris wheel for Maw Maw and Paw Paw. The festival is free but you can purchase tickets for food and rides at the festival. Also, this year the Redfish Invitational Series will kick off again in Chalmette, La. at the Louisiana Crawfish Festival. Thursday and Friday anglers will launch, return and weigh in at the Marina with only Saturday's top 10 teams being trailered to the festival fairgrounds where crowds await the final day's weigh in.
