Gracing a Chicago stage for the first time in more than a decade, iconic stage and screen star Bernadette Peters joins Maestro Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra for an evening of Gershwin and the Great American Songbook. One of the most versatile entertainers of our generation, Peters is famed for her memorable and award-winning comic performances in TV and movies, like "The Jerk" and "Grey's Anatomy". But the three-time Tony Award-winner is best known as a true Broadway baby, starring in Sondheim classics like "Sunday in the Park With George, Into the Woods, Follies" and "A Little Night Music". She'll light up the Auditorium Theatre with a selection of jazz and show tunes, while Lockhart and the Pops get things started with a tribute to George Gershwin.
