Walk through our 25,000 square foot Everglades “free-flight” facility housing one of the largest collections of wading birds in America. Five ecosystems are represented through the display of native plants. Flamingo Gardens and Wildlife Sanctuary is a 60-acre paradise with botanical gardens, which houses and cares for permanently injured native birds and animals, and provides education programs for school and camp children. A not-for-profit organization, it is supported solely by admissions, proceeds from events, donations, visitor purchases and memberships.
