Take a vacation from ordinary film at The 27th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLiFF). During this month-long event, the fest reels out over 200 films from around the globe. Filmmakers and celebrities create an aura of excitement at red carpet film premieres, screenings, special events and parties at area hot spots, on board yachts, on the beach and at FLiFF's year-round art theater, Cinema Paradiso. Throughout the festival, attendees have plenty of opportunities to hob knob with film talent and movie buffs in a casual atmosphere.
FLiFF features top new American Independents, World Cinema, documentaries, shorts, Sunshine Celluloid, Childrens movies, Gay and Lesbian films in addition to retrospective and tribute film events.
FLiFF 2012 highlights include: the star-studded Opening Night Celebration hosted by Warren Henry Auto Group together with Entres Nous, Arthur E. Benjamin and the Trinity Diversified Film Fund. The gala takes place at Sport of Kings located at Gulfstream Park. Two additional signature events are the Centerpiece and Closing Night films and parties. FLiFF also hosts a Halloween event with costume contests, treats for kids and late night horror movies for the big kids at heart. Parties and gatherings take place most nights and several feature live music by top local artists. You can even take an excursion, via a special travel deal, to join FLiFF On Location at Grand Bahama Island for four days of indoor/outdoor films and fun.
