Description:

Enjoy a fresh slice of Norman Rockwell as Jefferson offers small town Americana with hot dogs, lemonade, ice cold watermelon, live music and more. The festivities start off with a bicycle/tricycle decorating contest. Homemade ice cream contest, homemade cake and pie auction with all proceeds going toward the purchase of children's books at the local Jefferson Carnegie Library. A ladies quartet sings music from the past. Next the Shreveport Metropolitan Brass Band plays John Phillip Sousa music amid the red, white and blue American flags. Children's games, the famous Quacker State Duck Race and fireworks going off over the Big Cypress Bayou round out this very special and patriot event.
