We just returned from this "Irish" festival. We walked down the west side of 6th ave from 56th st. to 42nd st. and then walked back up to 56th st. on the east side of 6th ave. There was not one Irish presence in the entire 14 blocks of this "Irish" festival. The majority of vendors were Asian, Latino, and Mexican. No Irish food, music, entertainment - ZERO Irish presence. I don't understand how the promoters of this festival can call it "The Great Irish Festival" when they know none of the licensed vendors are Irish .. and there was no live entertainment at all! What would the Asian, Latino or Mexican community say if they went to a festival of there ethnic origin only to see Irish tap dancers served up with a plate of bangers and mash. They would be just as unhappy as I am now.
