The parade begins promptly at 9 a.m. and lasts approximately one hour. NEW PARADE ROUTE FOR 2016! The Holiday Parade's route will begin at NW 9th Ave and W. Burnside, then travels south on SW 9th Ave., east on SW Stark St., south on Broadway, east SW Alder St. (past Macy's) to SW 4th Ave., north on SW 4th Ave. to West Burnside, west on W. Burnside to NW Broadway, north on NW Broadway, and west on NW Flanders St. to NW Park Ave. for disband. The Oregonian and K-103 FM radio are the media partners for the Parade this year. The 2016 My Macy's Holiday Parade will feature 25 Macy's floats, local middle and high school marching bands, and 600+ costumed characters, community floats and much more! New to this year's parade is a lovable inflatable snowman float. In addition, we are introducing our very first inflatable costume! A very happy inflatable elf costume will make its debut in this year's parade. The parade will conclude shortly after Santa dashes in his sleigh past Macy's, heading directly from the North Pole to his Portland holiday post at Macy's Santaland, which opens at 11:00 AM.
