Come visit the boyhood home of American Founding Father, John Jay. This historic site is the centerpiece of the Boston Post Road Historic District and includes an 1838 Greek Revival mansion with breathtaking views of Long Island Sound.
Home to generations of the Jay family since 1745, the buildings and grounds are being restored by the Jay Heritage Center (JHC) as a vibrant educational center hosting programs in American History, Architecture, Social Justice, Landscape Conservation and Environmental Stewardship as well as concerts, plays and art exhibits.
The site is one of 13 destinations on the African American Heritage Trail and also a member of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
