Peach Festival

A celebration synonymous with summer, the Stratford Peach Festival is family entertainment at its finest. Held in the self-professed "Peach Capital of Oklahoma," the Stratford Peach Festival will feature a variety of activities including live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, street games, helicopter rides and more. Pick up a bushel of fresh peaches from one of seven area orchards participating in the event, or simply enjoy a delicious serving of homemade peach ice cream. The Peach Festival car show will be making a return to this year's event and will include muscle cars, original trucks, modified trucks, special interest vehicles, sport compact cars, street rods from the 1920s-'60s and a variety of other classics. Categories of competition will include best in show, most likely to get a ticket, best custom truck, mayor's choice and more. Come to the Stratford Peach Festival to see which lucky contestants are crowned this year's Peach Royalty, and enjoy the sounds of local singers competing for the crown in the festival's Peach Idol competition. Concessions and food vendors will be available, and plenty of peach treats will be sold to crowds of hungry festival-goers. Don't miss the annual peach cook-off, where area chefs compete to create the best peach dish. Visitors to the Stratford Peach Festival will also enjoy plenty of old-fashioned games. Grab a seat along the sidelines or challenge the locals to such contests as a hay toss, best-dressed animal and ugly dog contest, sack races, a water balloon toss, money in the haystack, three-legged races, a hula-hoop contest, Frisbee throw and turtle races. There's something for everyone at this year's Peach Festival, so bring the whole family and prepare to have a great time this July.
