This historical society museum housed in the 1876 Old Adas Israel Synagogue, the first structure built in Washington, D.C. as a Jewish house of worship displays collections of letters, photographs, documents, diaries, and artifacts which document the Jewish people and the Jewish communities of greater Washington D.C.
