West Chicago Railroad Days

Since 1973. A Wonderful Time Warp….The whole experience of West Chicago RR Days is like taking a backward trip on a time machine- a trip to a kinder, gentler, more innocent time and place. Railroad Days is the ultimate community festival- in which all forms of summer fun are featured- and the entire town participates. Railroad Days has something for every member of the family- from toddlers to grandmothers- to thoroughly enjoy. The overview of Railroad Days is: great food, great, free live music, big summer fun, and huge community participation. The festival offers free concerts all four nights of the event featuring national music headliners augmented by some of the regions hottest local bands. The event puts on the largest and highest quality carnival in the area- covering more than 2 acres and featuring the latest rides and attractions including a special kids area. One of the biggest features of Railroad Days is it’s elaborate, colorful, and lively parade- which traditionally steps off at 1PM on Sunday winding through downtown and funneling into the event gates. More than 100 slots are filled.. and the entire community lines the parade route.
