Mineral Mound State Park

This peaceful setting on the shores of Lake Barkley is historically linked to the author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The property was once the farm of Willis B. Machen, grandfather of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald. Golf, fishing and hiking are some of the activities visitors may enjoy. Launch your pleasure or fishing boat onto Lake Barkley from Mineral Mound Launching Ramp. Open year-round. The park now has a challenging 18-hole golf course. The front 9 holes are situated in a wooded area and many of the back 9 holes are flanked by lake views. A pro shop offers rental carts, clubs and golf merchandise.
