Description:
The cookers entering the contest will arrive from all over; they have come from Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri and Colorado. All cookers participating in the contest must be registered through the Kansas City Barbeque Society in order for the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion winner to have a chance to participate in the American Royal Contest held in Kansas City in October. There are over 400 cookers participating in the American Royal Contest. $5,000 in cash prizes plus trophies will be presented in each category from 1st to 6th placing, which includes 4 categories (Chicken, Pork, Ribs, Brisket) plus Reserve and Grand Champion overall.
