Since 1988, the Downtown Holiday Parade has become a community tradition for ringing in the holidays. Thousands will gather once again along the Downtown sidewalks the Sunday before Thanksgiving to watch the parade filled with beautiful floats, marching bands, clowns, dancing troops and more. The day’s holiday festivities will include the lighting of the City Christmas Tree and the highly-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus. Pre-parade activities at the corner of Fourth and Main will include photos with Santa, free arts and crafts for kids and live entertainment. The parade route is scheduled to start at the Centre and journey down Locust Street, turning on Second Street and then will continue up Main Street in Downtown Evansville.
