Boo at the Zoo’s for You!

Why is it that zoo’s and Halloween go so well together? Is it because the names go so well together, is it because it’s the perfect place for a family to enjoy some safe Halloween fun or is it because the animals always wear such great costumes? I really don’t know. But I do know that the zoo happens to be a very popular venue for Halloween Happenings.

This week I am showcasing some of the very best zoo’s and their Halloween festivals and programs. Since it’s is traditionally a children’s holiday, I thought this week might be a good time to focus on family ideas.

Every event that you see here takes place in a zoo. I think children of all ages would enjoy a day at the zoo so it makes it the perfect holiday/family adventure. Please note that many of these programs require tickets and may be sold out. Check with the zoo before heading out just in case. Also I pretty certain that these programs are suitable for young children but you might want to double check that as well. Just to be on the safe side.

Keep in mind that many of these take place on multiple weekends in October so if you cannot get there this weekend, maybe you can go next weekend. I invite you to take a look at the events listed here and see if there are any close to you. If not, please search for events in your backyard by using the search box. Whatever you do this weekend, have a SPOOKTACULAR time. (You knew I would work that in somehow, didn’t you?).
