Located in the heart of the Chigmit Mountains along the western shore of Cook Inlet, the park-preserve contains great geological diversity, including jagged peaks, granite spires, and two symmetrical active volcanoes. The lake is more than 40 miles long, the largest lake here and also the headquarters for red salmon spawning.
