Since 2002. A popular event that allows visitors to view some great documentary films. The Ozark Foothills FilmFest is an eclectic celebration of the cinema arts that takes place in, of all places, rural America! For 18 years, the Ozark Foothills FilmFest has defied all odds. Through the years, attendees from outside the immediate community have been startled, and sometimes amazed, that an event showcasing and celebrating independent film has thrived in our small rural community. And funders, including the National Endowment for the Arts, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Arkansas Arts Council have rewarded our efforts with generous financial support. So it's time once again to settle in for two weekends of entertaining and enlightening non-commercial film that includes visits by regional and national emerging filmmakers, a restored silent classic with live music accompaniment, a filmmaker panel discussion, and multiple opportunities to interact with guest artists and other cinephiles.
