Since 1988. The Annual Boston Christmas Festival will feature the work of more than 350 American master craftsmen, and will highlight the annual Gingerbread House Competition to benefit Housing Families, Inc. - a non-profit organization dedicated to ending family homelessness. Close your eyes and open them… are surrounded by 350+ pop up boutiques by American Artisans that come together once a year…For 3 days only! You will find special and unique gifts for everyone on your list – in all price ranges. This award-winning show is the largest arts and crafts festival in New England supporting American Artisan. The 25th annual Gingerbread House competition is proud to showcase the amazing talent of Master Pastry Chefs hiding in Kitchens all over Boston. They have generously donated their time and talent to produce architectural masterpieces from sugar and candy. Over the years they have figured ways to replicate Fenway Park, The State House, an entire block of the North end, Santa’s workshop in the North Pole, Dr. Seuss’ Whoville, The Leonard Zakim Bridge and many more. The entries are judged by Boston celebrities and their children just prior to the opening of The Festival. As you wander amongst the displays you will see who won Best in Show, Best Decoration, Best Tasting, Kids Choice and Most Creative. Housing Families, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending family homelessness, is the beneficiary of the sale of these creations. Most are bought by generous Boston corporations.
