The Mike Cervi Jr. Memorial Pro Classic will once again be the centerpiece to a week of jackpots and rodeo events during the Casa Grande Cowboy Days in Arizona. With less big money events on the calendar for open ropers, the lucrative Cervi is expected to see an even bigger number of teams and even heftier payouts. The crowd-pleasing 7th Annual Cervi Pro-Am Benefit Roping will get things started Wednesday at 9:00AM. The event has been so popular, it has been expanded to 12 slots for both headers and heelers. Amateur ropers must be a #4 or under and they are drawn with some of the biggest headliners in the sport of Team Roping for 3 full rounds. Even with a $500 entry fee, the slots in Pro- Am fill quickly every year. Entries will be taken on line at arosroping.com starting January 1. All teams will receive an embroidered jacket from Wrangler, caps, team photo and all day entry pass for the Cervi VIP tent. The average winners will receive the same buckle as the Cervi Pro Classic winners, and go-round winners will receive buckles as well. Proceeds from the Pro-Am will go to the Justin Crisis Fund.
