Chili is a fall favorite but for Arizona firefighters and first responders, it is a way to give back to the community. On Saturday, Frontier Town, a signature Cave Creek establishment for more than 40 years, will host firefighters and first responders as they cook their favorite red chili recipes all day for the chance to win great prizes. Chili aficionados from the general public are encouraged to enter the contest, which costs only $10. There is no entry fee for firefighters. Proceeds from the entry fees and tasting samples, which are $5 for five tasting tickets, will benefit the Cave Creek Heritage Foundation, the 100 Club and Cub Scout Pack 548. Chili makers must provide their own equipment and awnings and be on-hand to serve their chili from 8 AM to 5 PM at Frontier Town, which is located in the center of Cave Creek at 6245 E. Cave Creek Road.
