Since 1972. Demopolis' favorite yuletide festivity has grown into one of the Southeast's premier holiday events. Christmas on the River has not only captivated the hearts of those in and around West Alabama, it has proven an annual tourist attraction capable of bringing in visitors from other states and regions of the country. Also featuring the State BBQ Championship. Various venues around town.
