Description:

This southwest Georgia park is on 37,500-acre Lake Seminole and is a scenic location for exploring, wildlife viewing, boating, and fishing and swimming. The lake is shallow, but natural lime sink ponds have left areas of cool, clear water with a variety of fish. The threatened gopher tortoise, Georgia’s state reptile, makes its home in the park's longleaf pine forest.
