At English Camp, Saturdays are a time to celebrate the history and culture of American and British soldiers on San Juan Island during the 12 year Pig War. Reenactments include period characters from a blacksmith and his traveling forge, a laundress telling about the life of a woman at the camps, British and American soldiers firing their period muskets, 19th century carpenty, period games, and more. Set at bucolic English Camp, Saturdays are a great day to take in the beauty of the camp, enjoy a picnic, hike a trail, and enjoy history brought to life.
