Since 2010. The International Festival of North Alabama (iFest), presented by the International Society of Huntsville and UAHuntsville, will be held in the Gymnasium, Parking, and Sidewalk areas of the UAH Fitness Center on the UAH campus (500 John Wright Drive, NW @ Holmes Avenue, NW). The iFest is a one- day, family-friendly spectacular, Open to the Public, with NO Admission Charge. Join us for: Food Trucks boasting international foods; an Open Air Market; FREE, Hands-on Children’s Activities; Transnational Table Displays featuring Cultural Artifacts, Flags, Travel/Historic Literature, Handicrafts, Native Apparel, Maps, and Educational Videos. Our iFest Spotlight Countries are Poland and Mexico—watch for their showcase! Featured Performers are Alash Ensemble, master throat singers from Tuva Republic. Though many of the school’s students and faculty participate, this extravaganza’s source of power comes from the volunteers within the North Alabama community, particularly those associated with transnational organizations. Nations as diverse as Poland, Puerto Rico, India, Yemen, Malaysia, Pakistan, Ireland, Australia, Gambia, and MORE (31 in all!) will be represented…and each year is bigger and better than the last...DON'T miss it!
