Travel around the world—and you DON’T need a passport! How? Join the International Society of Huntsville and UAH as they present the ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF NORTH ALABAMA!
This one-day, family-friendly spectacular?Open to the Public?features a Parade of Nations; a wealth of global performances, from folk dance and traditional instrumentals to ethnic song, martial arts demonstrations, and fashions set outside under a tent; food trucks – a festival favorite; an International Open Air Market; FREE hands-on children’s games and crafts; and table displays featuring cultural artifacts, travel/historic literature, handicrafts, native apparel, educational videos, and so much more…from around the world!
The all-day, “weather-independent” Saturday event takes place on the grounds of, and indoors at, the UAH Fitness Center…and charges no admission.
Several UAH organizations assist in cosponsoring the Festival, but the real source of power comes from the volunteers within the North Alabama community, particularly those associated with transnational organizations. Nations as diverse as Poland, Ireland, Republic of the Gambia, Peru, Australia, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia have been represented…and each year is bigger and better than the last.
The Spotlight Nations for 2019 are ROMANIA and SOUTH KOREA! New to iFest this year are LATVIA and SWEDEN!
