This museum has collections of artifacts, pictures, documents relevant to the history of the Canal, a log cabin, a root cellar, a village jail, a blacksmith shop, a tinsmith shop, a workshop, a railroad station, a one-room country school, a smokehouse, an herb garden, a settlement house and a mid-19th century farmhouse.
