CAFAM serves as a platform to cultivate and encourage a curiosity for culture. A forum in which art can be presented and described by the artists and communities who create it, we aim to inspire discussion as well as a closer look. Dedicated to upholding cultural democracy, we believe that art and culture are rich starting points for further creativity. As craft and folk art springs forth from communities and prolific imaginations, it lends itself to this cultural democracy. Demonstrating a fresh and contemporary view of craft and folk art, our non-collecting galleries are consistently displaying a multitude of new exhibitions. These dynamic, socially-relevant exhibitions lead our visitors on a path of discovery. Our programs demonstrate that through an exploration of art, universal truths are revealed and our community strengthened.
