Since 1980. Celebrate the traditions of the Munich Oktoberfest in the heart of Music City! Oktoberfest is Nashville’s oldest festival and has been an annual tradition since 1980. Spanning 10 city blocks, over a quarter of a million people will attend the Annual Nashville Oktoberfest. But it’s not just a German beer festival! Oktoberfest has something for EVERYONE: delicious German and specialty food from dozens of restaurants and vendors, world-class beer from local and German breweries, tons of kids and family events, over 125 Arts and Crafts vendors, 3 stages of live German music, Wiener Dog races, an enormous parade through downtown, and the 2nd largest 5K Race and Run in Tennessee – plus so much more! The Nashville Oktoberfest is spread out across 10 blocks adjacent to the Germantown neighborhood. The event caters to adults and kids of all ages. A giant Kids Zone area features children’s activities and is sponsored by Nashville Parent Magazine. Another big draw is the live German music. There are three separate music stages at the event – each featuring German Volksmusik from famous Oktoberfest Polka bands.
