Citing air quality concerns, the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport has cancelled its deployment of the tall ship Hawaiian Chieftain to the Channel Islands Harbor this week, the Ventura County Harbor Department announced today. The Hawaiian Chieftain was scheduled to visit the Channel Islands Harbor from Friday, Dec. 15th to Wednesday, Dec. 20th. The Grays Harbor Historical Seaport will send two tall ships, the Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington, to the Channel Islands Harbor in February 2018.
