Since 2009. The Town of Pinetop-Lakeside Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, December 1st at 6pm. The event will be held at Jack Barker Park (across from Pinetop-Lakeside library and WME Theaters). Woodland Lake Park will still be decorated as always. This year’s tree lighting will feature Free Photos with Santa, free hot chocolate, free donuts and free Christmas cookies. Blue Ridge High School Chorus will be singing Christmas Carols from 6:15pm-6:45pm. Blue Ridge High Culinary Club will be providing Christmas cookies. Blue Ridge PTSO will be doing a silent auction with decorated Christmas trees to benefit the Blue Ridge Teacher's Grant Fund. The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC) will be managing the photos with Santa, one photo per child, please. All children who visit Santa will receive a gift and a goody bag. Please bring your cameras or smartphones, no photographer will be provided. MYAC will be doing a toy drive in partnership with White Mountain Rotary Club to benefit needy children in the community. Please bring your $5-$10 unwrapped gift to the Tree lighting in exchange for a raffle ticket to win prizes from local businesses.
