Amador County Fairgrounds

Highland Games are events held in the spring and summer celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture from foods to sport and athletics. These events involve throwing and lifting, they include events such as the caber toss or hammer throw and are collectively known as heavy athletics. The highland dance is a style of competitive dancing developed in the Scottish Highlands,on the various stages there will be both competitive and demonstration Highland dancing along with country dance, step dancing and Cape Breton dancing. A children's glen will offer the wee ones an opportunity to participate in various activities of their very own.

We strive to have the Scottish and Celtic foods for all to enjoy. There will be some international and American foods available.
