Highland Games are events typically held in the spring and summer celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture and history. Certain aspects of the games have become so well known and loved such as the bagpipes, kilts and heavy athletics, especially the caber toss.
There will be competitions in piping and drumming, dancing, Scottish heavy athletics, and beards; which includes a category for children's beards.
There will be entertainment with several stages and various types of Celtic music from pub music to harps and fiddles, merchants village, the clan village, reenactment village. And, not to forget the Celtic animals such as the Highland Coo or Deer Hound and much more.
For the wee ones there will be a Children's Glen with activities just for them.
When you're hungry you can partake of Scottish and Celtic foods along with international and American.
