The City of Prattville is excited to announce plans for the City’s annual Christmas Celebration. The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Monday, November 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and promises to have fun surprises for all ages. The 30’ Christmas Tree will be the center of attention with the picturesque backdrop of the Autauga Creek Spillway decorated with an amazing array of lights. The event will be full of music, dancers, children’s activities, fun characters, and, of course, a visit from Santa. Join in as the Prattville Pops and Community Chorus perform Christmas carols and enjoy the local dance troupes as they present dances of the season. Just after the Tree lights up at 7:00 p.m., Santa will arrive to visit with the children and to hear their Christmas wishes. Be sure and bring your camera to get a picture with Santa and to capture other special moments throughout the evening. Everybody loves a parade and on Friday, December 2, Prattville’s Christmas Parade will roll through Downtown Prattville. Simply Amazing Christmas will be the theme and is open to the imagination of those who join in the fun. Participants will decorate with the idea of what Christmas means to them, a special Christmas memory, a favorite Christmas carol, even a favorite Christmas toy. The parade starts at 7:00 p.m.
