Everyone is invited to the largest amateur radio event in northern Arizona. Admission is only $5. If you are a ham radio operator or just want to learn what it is all about, come to Embry-Riddle Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 (entry fee is good for both days). At hamfests, amateur radio operators gather to refresh long-held radio friendships; to examine new amateur radio gear in- person; to buy or sell equipment and parts; to exchange information; or to upgrade their amateur license. Hamfests provide a learning environment for anyone interested to come see what amateur radio is all about. Each day there are several seminars on topics of interest to radio amateurs. On Friday morning, a presentation is scheduled specifically on getting started in ham radio. Embry-Riddle is located at 3700 Willow Creek Rd., Prescott.
