Since 1989. Each January through April the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts sponsors a mini-festival in Scottsdale Civic Center Park on specific Sunday afternoons. You can listen to concerts presented by local musicians, shop at vendor booths, eat and drink, and tale a tour of the museum. Concerts cover a variety of styles -- jazz, blues, salsa, country, rock and roll, pop and more. Seating is available on the lawn, and portable chairs and picnic baskets are welcome. Bring folding chairs or a blanket for the lawn in front of the raised concert stage. There are a few picnic tables on the perimeter of the spectator area, and they are usually taken early. Of course, you can stand or sit on the grass. You may bring your own food to Sunday A'Fair. Picnicking is popular here! An arts and crafts market will be open, as will the store at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Children are welcome and there are often activities for them. Leashed pets are permitted for the outdoor activities. Concerts and tours may be canceled in case of bad weather. Bring your family and friends, and make it a Sunday A'Fair.
