Description:

Stroll through the arboretum and learn about dragonflies in this interesting exhibit. Learn to identify Blue-eyed Darners, Flame Skimmers and other colorful dragonfly species on a guided walk. Dragonfly enthusiast Justin Jones guides our once-a-month odonate excursion interpreted walking tour to Ayer Lake and garden water features -- a chance to learn about these beautiful, fascinating insect predators. Bring your camera because our guides safely net a few dragonflies for visitors to view and photograph close-up, before releasing the insects unharmed. Field guide authors Rich Bailowitz and Doug Danforth are special guest guides July 2.
