DROP DEAD by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore is directed by Shari Olm. It is a play within a play about a cast of has-been actors planning to revive their careers in “Drop Dead”, a murder-mystery directed by "Wonder Child of the Broadway Stage" Victor Le Pewe. At the dress rehearsal the set falls, props break, and two people are murdered. During the opening night performance, the murders continue. The remaining thespians must save the show and their careers, solve the mystery and stay alive for curtain calls.
In Act I, the audience is actually peeking in on a rehearsal for "Drop Dead", the last chance production that will hopefully put its not so-talented cast members back on top. Act II is opening night for “Drop Dead" (with new programs at intermission) in which the actors struggle to stay in character as the performance takes some unexpected turns and reveals a murderer in their midst.
