Missouri National Recreational River
One of the last free-flowing stretches of the Missouri, this 98-mile reach from Fort Randall Dam in South Dakota to the headwaters of Lewis and Clark Lake and from Gavins Point Dam, near Yankton, South Dakota to Ponca, Nebraska, still exhibits the river's dynamic character in its islands, bars, chutes and snags.
