Since 1993. Woodland Boulevard blossoms into an artist's garden of color every November, as DeLand, Florida hosts the Annual DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts. Over 180 National Artists will display and sell their art work in the historic downtown shopping district, just in time for holiday gift-giving. This is an exciting, juried fine art show not to be missed! Discover the rich colors of imagination in paintings with brilliant blues, verdant greens, sultry reds, expressive pastels and stark black and white; in nature and wildlife scenes which reveal the old, the untamed Florida; in unique pottery, sculpture, woodwork; and in nature photography from around the country. The historic preservation district of downtown DeLand provides a charming backdrop for this annual festival which is dedicated to those who create as well as those who appreciate and collect art. Patrons enjoy the fine art exhibits presented by over 180 juried artists of various mediums including painting, glass, sculpture, jewelry, leather, photography, printmaking, wood, ceramics, and fiber.

Since 1989, The Fall Festival is located down the center of six blocks of scenic South Coast Highway 101, two blocks from the Pacific Ocean. This one day in the fall draw crowds exceeding 100,000 and feature a booth arrangement that provides half of the vendors with two adjoining sides open to traffic, if they choose. In the fall Festival, continuous since 1989, children’s rides, two stages of live entertainment and food and drink refreshments provide an attractive setting for the public and a great boon to our vendors. The emphasis is on arts, handmade crafts, antiques, and ethnic imports. However, commercial vendors will be accepted and admitted upon consideration of merchandise and display appearance.

Since 1986. The Springboro Christmas Festival still features shopping opportunities, with heated tents full of craftsmen and vendors selling unusual gift items, as well as the gift inventory to be found in all the local shops. We still have a parade, with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, at noon on Saturday, and there is plenty of good festival food all along the street. We still have music and special activities in the Entertainment Tent and strolling musicians and entertainers on the street. Horse-drawn wagons still transport festival-goers from one end of the street to the other. With very few exceptions, all of this entertainment is free. Over the years, the Festival has grown, now extending the full 7-block length of South Main Street, from Central to Mill. With the street closed for the weekend, it is now possible to have children’s rides and a tent for their own activities. For many years, the choruses from the Springboro schools have entertained on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. We hope this will become one more Festival tradition.
