Since 1965, this gigantic arts and crafts show features a juried show to promote outstanding artist and craftsmen, whose work will be displayed on the grounds of historic Madison County courthouse square and surrounding downtown area. This has become one of the largest outdoor craft markets in the South featuring over 1,000 artists taking place in this very popular show.

The barbecue capital of the world highlights a variety of activities with a cook-off to determine the barbecue champion of the world, crafts, food, carnival, 5K run/walk and three stages of entertainment. Every second weekend in May, Owensboro springs to life with the wonderful smells and sounds of the International Bar-B-Q Festival. Smoke from hickory-stoked fires blends with the aromas of sizzling chicken, bubbling burgoo and roasting mutton to complete the festival atmosphere. This year's International Bar-B-Q Festival promises to be a fun-filled and exciting time for regulars and first-timers alike. We've got plenty of events planned to make for a memorable Festival experience.

Saturday before features the Rooster Days Run at 8am and the Saturday during the festival features the parade at 10 am.

Since 1975, The Olde York Street Fair is a Mother’s Day tradition in downtown York. The event takes place in and around Continental Square. This free event features more than 100 vendors of handmade arts and crafts, a Kid’s Fun Block with bounce houses, games, face painting, and coloring pages, plus other entertainment. Food vendors will sell a variety of traditional American festival food as well as original creations. Fifty percent of all food vendor proceeds will go to support local non- profit organizations. Ticket sales in the Kid’s Fun Block will support York City Special Events. Free parking and shuttle bus service will again be available from HACC York Campus (2010 Pennsylvania Avenue). Drop-off locations downtown will be at the intersections of West Market Street and Pershing Avenue and East Market Street and Pine Street. The first shuttle will leave HACC at 12:00 noon and the last shuttle will leave downtown at 6:00 p.m. Sincere thanks to Green Mountain Energy for sponsoring this service.
