Since 1985, over 40 spectacular displays consisting of over a million colorful lights displayed throughout 300 rolling acres of the 6 mile drive. Businesses participate with decorations to add to the festive atmosphere. There are craft demonstrations, a laser light show and train exhibits as well. This is a free event, however donations are graciously accepted.

Since 1996, Drive on the Virginia Beach boardwalk! Take a shining journey into nautical, holiday, and adventure lands – all along the beautiful Virginia Beach boardwalk. Festive fish, jumping dolphins, frolicking porpoises – all in bright, colored lights against the clear night-time sky, are the stars of McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach. They are joined by Santa, elves, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree erected on the beach and in the beautiful parks along the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Over 25,000 families a year make this unique light show a part of their holiday celebration! This “Fanta- Sea” of lights is sure to dazzle and amaze holiday travelers visiting Virginia Beach. One of the highlights is the giant “12 Days of Christmas” display, where some fixtures stand 20 and 30 feet high! Drivers are able to tune their car radios to a frequency to hear holiday music along the McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach display, making it easy to see AND hear why this event has been named one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s “Top 20 November Events” and the American Bus Association's "Top 100 Events in North America for 2011!" McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach opens nightly beginning at 5:30. Hours of operation are 5:30pm-10:00pm Sunday through Thursday and 5:30pm- 11:00pm Friday-Saturday.

Since 1994, Lights of the Ozarks turns downtown Fayetteville into a sparkling wonderland. Nightly carriages and pony rides, fresh hot chocolate and festive holiday music make the Lights of the Ozarks an event that cannot be missed. The romantic and breathtaking display of a half- million twinkling lights is cherished by the locals and visitors alike that stroll or drive through the Lights of the Ozarks each year. Each year Fayetteville Parks and Recreation workers spend over 3,300 hours decorating the Downtown Square with over 400,000 lights. The Lights of the Ozarks parade is organized by the University of Arkansas Hospitality Management students with support from the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau. The Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission coordinates all other events during the festival.

Since 1996, The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival is getting ready to welcome visitors for its 24th spectacular season. The wondrous display of lights at Seneca Creek State Park will be open nightly November 22 through December 31. Please note that the festival will be closed on December 25. The 3.5 mile drive through the enchanted setting of Seneca Creek State Park takes you past more than 450 illuminated displays and beautifully lit trees that light up the night. The park is located at 11950 Clopper Road, conveniently accessible from I-270. - - - - Cut your wait time in line, by buying online!

Experience one of the world's largest collections of holiday inflatables at this year's Christmas Kingdom at the Castle, held at the Castle of Muskogee. Take a drive through the kingdom's winter wonderland and enjoy over 2,000 displays in various holiday scenes ranging from four to 20 ft in height. Bring the whole family and hop on an old-fashioned, tractor- drawn hayride or snuggle up with someone special on a horse-drawn carriage ride throughout the Christmas village. Christmas Kingdom at the Castle will also feature a petting zoo for the kids and a special visit from Santa, Rudolph and the Grinch. Visit the holiday gift shop and create a festive ornament with Santa's elves or enjoy a free holiday movie shown at the castle. This event is free; however, donations are much appreciated. Make your way to Muskogee for a breathtaking, old-fashioned Christmas celebration.

Blanchard Springs Caverns is the setting for this special Holiday event. Local musicians will perform traditional carols in the cathedral-like atmosphere. One visitor said it best, “I was underground but never felt closer to Heaven!” An elevator transports you to the seating area where you will enjoy the beauty of the caverns while listening to regional interpretations of classic carols. At one point you may join the singing or just savor the indescribable sound that occurs in this underground cathedral room. The matinee performances are each Saturday and Sunday this year.

Featuring more than 100,000 LED lights, captivating holiday displays, a giant Christmas tree, factory tours, chocolate-making classes, and photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Winter Wonderland will be open nightly, November 16 through December 30 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and is FREE to the public. (closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) Colorful holiday lights and festive ornaments adorning the trees throughout the garden and a magnificent 12-foot Christmas tree. Special Menorah Lighting Ceremony Enchanting, animated holiday displays will include a beautifully lit gazebo, cascading fountains, an Arctic zone with lighted polar bears and penguins, a Nativity scene, Christmas trees and a beautifully-decorated Hanukkah display.Santa Claus is in the gardens every night starting November 29th thru December 23rd from 6–10pm.

Christmas at Callaway featuring Fantasy In Lights, in Pine Mountain, Georgia, is not only the South’s most spectacular holiday light and sound show, it is one of the world’s “Top 10 Places to See Holiday Lights,” as named by National Geographic Traveler. During this year’s holiday season, the “World Center of Racing,” the largest lighted sports facility in North America, will transform into a holiday wonderland with the Magic of Lights™. Daytona International Speedway is among seven cities that will host the all-new 1.5-mile long Magic of Lights holiday experience. Beginning Nov. 22 and running every day through Jan1st from 6 to 10 p.m., guests will be able to enjoy this new holiday drive- through tradition at Daytona International Speedway. A portion of the proceeds from the Magic of Lights will benefit Florida Hospital Foundation. The experience will include a drive behind the Ticket and Tours building, through the world’s only motorsports stadium and conclude in the Midway display area outside the facility. The Magic of Lights entrance is located at 441 Midway Ave. Daytona Beach, FL. *Any vehicle with more than three rows of seating is considered an oversized vehicle and will pay the Limo/Party Bus price. These vehicles could include limousines, 15-passenger vans, etc. Please note that tour buses are not permitted and all vehicles entering the Magic of Lights must be no taller than 9 feet, 6 inches.

Yule Light Up The Night, presented by Millennium Running, is a 2.1-mile run/walk around the New Hampshire Motor Speedway property, including the infield of "The Magic Mile," through the dazzling Gift of Lights displays on Sunday, December 15 at 4:30 p.m. Registration is $25 for adults age 12+ (will increase to $30 on race day), $15 for youth ages 4- 11 (will increase to $20 on race day) and $10 for kids ages 3 and younger. $5 from each adult registration and $2 from each youth registration will benefit Speedway Children's Charities New Hampshire Chapter.
