In addition to hosting more than 300 nationally acclaimed artists, the Festival will feature fantastic gourmet fare from some of the city’s finest local restaurants, live music, theater, dance,spoken word performance, hands-on art activities and more—there’s something for everyone!

Since 1980. Metropolis is the official Home of Superman and proudly honors its favorite son with a 15-foot bronze statue of America's Super Hero right in the middle of Superman Square. A statue of actress Noel Neil, posed as Lois Lane, stands just two blocks down the street from Superman Square. Its a bird, its a plane, no its the Superman Celebration. Activites include yard sales, music and entertainment, trivia, carnival rides, antique and classic cars from several surrounding states. - - - - -

Since 1973, features 6 different stages set up throughout the district. Entertainment is continuous and includes everything from country music to rock, from a comedy stage to a children's stage. Plus arts and crafts, children's activities, ethnic displays, a variety of food vendors, exhibits and a parade. The festival takes place from Congress Street to Commercial Street. Parade takes place on Exchange Street at 11am. Some activities take place Friday and Saturday throughout the city.

Since 1959, The Main Tent will be located in Zehnder park, sponsored by Zehnders and Bavarian Inn Lodge and Restaurant, and will host a number of traditional German entertainers and polka bands. The Rock Tent will be located behind Tiffany's, rocking Friday and Saturday night. The Chamber Platz will feature a beer garden and bands. ? For the 2nd year, the Friday Night Street Party is going to fill Main Street with bands, beverages and the Festival Olympics. Saturday will play host to a number of events happening through town including the Kindertag Parade and the Kinder (Kids) Area. Be sure to join us Sunday for the one and only Bavarian Festival Parade. All of this and more for only $5 general admission, kids 12 and under are free!

The Sunday Parade along Fifth Avenue is the highlight of the National Puerto Rican Parade events. Parade participants number over 2 million and parade spectators exceed 3 million. There is an impressive number of community contingencies, floats, marching bands and musical groups which provide a festive and lively mood to the Parade. Route extends from 5th Avenue at 44th Street to 5th Avenue at 79th Street.
