Description:

At 80,000 square feet, The Children’s Museum of the Upstate (TCMU) is the seventh largest children's museum in the country and the 10th largest in the world. Conveniently located on the cultural campus of Heritage Green in downtown Greenville, it's close to all the action and offers ample parking. Visitors experience 18 state-of-the-art exhibit galleries with more than 100 individual exhibit components that offer a continuum of programming in the areas of arts, humanities, sciences, health, nutrition and the environment. Kids and adults can simulate flight into space, design, test and drive a Formula 1 race car, learn about making healthy food choices in the BI-LO Market, star in a TV broadcast, become a Healthy Hero with challenges to keep your mind and body in top shape or play in the Reedy River Water exhibit. There are even exhibits that cater to the under five crowd including the Toddler Lily Pond and Grandma Betty’s Farm. Whatever your age, The Children's Museum is a place of possibility to explore, discover, imagine and pretend. "I Can be Anything!" is the museum's motto and you'll agree when you walk through the doors of this hands-on, interactive facility. In addition to the indoor exhibits, the museum also has a café, birthday party rooms, and outdoor garden elements for further exploration and discovery. TCMU is committed to serving the needs and interests of all children by providing experiences that spark a lifelong passion for curiosity and learning through play.
