Since 1912, First Monday Trade Day began over 100 years ago in Scottsboro, AL. Citizens would gather on the first Monday of each month around the Jackson County courthouse square in downtown Scottsboro to swap wares . The tradition continues. 250 exhibitors, one of the South's oldest and largest trade days that uses the art of bartering, antique shows, crafts and rummage sales. Take a step back in time and enjoy shopping the way your ancestors did. The trade days are held each Saturday before the first Monday of the month year round.
